New Westminster - The City of New Westminster and the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the nominees for the 37th Annual Royal City Builders Awards. These awards recognize outstanding achievement in modern development, heritage preservation, accessibility improvements and sustainability.
The Modern Development Awards acknowledge architects, designers and builders of high quality residential, commercial, and institutional development in the City. This year’s nominees in the Modern Development category are:

Since 2002, the Royal City Builders Awards have also included a Universal Access category. This award recognizes businesses and institutions that have contributed uniquely and significantly to improve access for all New Westminster residents and visitors. This year’s nominees in the Universal Access category include:

The Sustainability Awards, sponsored by BC Hydro, promote cleaner and healthier communities by recognizing developments which incorporate various sustainable features and initiatives. Nominees in the modern development category are eligible for this award and a winner will be selected based on overall environmental contribution.
All awards will be presented at the Royal City Builders Awards Gala Dinner on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Inn at Westminster Quay. Tickets are available from the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce.
