IBEW and City of New Westminster reach agreement

New Westminster, BC – Following four months of negotiations, the City of New Westminster and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 213, reached an agreement on October 7th 2010 on a new contract for 12 employees with the City of New Westminster Electrical Utility. The Memorandum of Agreement which covers a two year term (April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2012) was ratified by the Local on November 4th.

Employees represented by IBEW maintain the electrical distribution system which supplies electrical power to customers in the City of New Westminster.
