Social Planning

Social Planning

The City is home to a number of social services and housing supports. These resources are instrumental in addressing issues such as early childhood development, homelessness, integration and settlement, mental illness, poverty and substance misuse. They contribute to the community’s quality of life and provide an important social safety net.

Social Planning Update
Prepared for the City’s Community and Social Issues Committee, the draft Social Planning Update and Directional Document provides a status of social planning policy in the City; the appropriate role for the City to play in this area; the accomplishments to date; the challenges that still need to be addressed; and some possible actions for moving forward.
