Property Inquiry Frequently Asked Questions

 

How can I find the zoning for my property?

1. Click on "Search" on the Navigation Bar.

2. Click on "Search by Civic Address" (See Figure 1)
- Use the drop down menu to select the street name, then fill in the other information and click on the "Search by Civic Address" button.

- The Civic Address Search Results will appear on the page. It would include information such as Property No., Folio Number, PID, Map Reference, Plan, Lot , MHR, and Status information. (See Figure 2)

3. Select the check box and Click on the "Add to selection List" Button (See Figure 2)

4. Click on "Reports" on the Navigation Bar
- There would be two reports available for viewing, one report showing all the permits for the selected properties, and the other one is on property information for the selected properties.

5. View the Property Info Report by Clicking on "View Report"
(See Figure 3)

- The property info report will appear in a popup window (See Figure 4), and would include information such as, zoning, PID #, heritage status, and other information.

1. Click on "Search" on the Navigation Bar.

I get a red X when I try to load a map. How can I fix this?

1. Go to http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=9454886&linkID=9242099 and select the appropriate browser plug in. We highly recommend using Microsoft's Internet Explorer 6.5 or better.

2. Choose to Open this file if prompted. Otherwise, save it to a known location, and then open it from windows explorer (note: you must have install permissions in order to run this file).

3. Follow the prompts and at the Setup Complete page, click Finish.

4. Close your Internet Explorer browser

5. Open your Internet Explorer browser and go back to the Property Inquiry page.

6. Click on the Map link. Your map should now load.

*Note: These steps apply to Windows operating systems using Internet Explorer as your web browser.
