Thank you for visiting Animal Services. We are responsible for the enforcement of dog licensing and animal control regulations as well as the operation of the City’s Animal Shelter located in Queensborough. 

Volunteer Opportunities:

The Animal Shelter is always in need of volunteers to help give the extra attention and exercise to our adoptable animals.  From dog walking to cat socialization, there are many opportunities for you and your family to help a shelter animal in need.  If you would like more information on volunteering, please review Animal Services Volunteer Program overview then contact the Animal Shelter to receive an application package.
