Collection Schedule Changes

As of January 2012, new collection zones and revised collection programs will be in effect. Changes include:

1. New Zone Boundaries
The number of zones on the zone map in the 2012 Collection Schedule will be reduced from 5 to 4. This means that from week to week, whenever possible, your collection day will remain the same, making it easier to remember.

2. Alternating Weekly Collection
Collection will alternate weekly, between (G) garbage and Cleaner, Greener, and (R) recycling and Cleaner, Greener. Essentially, the Cleaner, Greener cart will be collected weekly year round, with garbage and recycling alternating. Please refer to the 2012 collection schedule (above) for more details.

3. Change in Collection Hours
Our collection crews will be working longer shifts and may be collecting in your area earlier or later in the day. Please be sure to place your items at the curb or lane by 7:30 am on collection day, and leave out until collected or until 7:30 pm. Any missed collection can be reported to Engineering Operations the following day by calling 604-526-4691.
