Master Transportation Plan (Pattullo Bridge)

Master Transportation Plan (Pattullo Bridge)
Shaping your transportation future

Background

The City of New Westminster is working on its Master Transportation Plan.  The City’s existing Long-Range Transportation Plan was developed in 1998 and recommended improvements for all modes over the next 20 years.  Since the existing Transportation Plan was adopted, there have been a number of changes to land use patterns and the transportation network within New Westminster.

The updated Master Transportation Plan will guide decision-making for transportation over the next 25 years and beyond.   The updated Master Transportation Plan will recommend improvements for all modes of transportation, including walking, cycling, public transit, goods movement, and vehicles.   This process is important to ensure that transportation investments work towards achieving the City’s strategic goals, make the best use of our tax dollars and help shift towards a more sustainable future.
