The reconstruction of sidewalks on both sides of East Columbia Street, from Sherbrooke Street to Braid Street has been awarded to Winvan Paving Ltd.

Work under this contract includes the installation of new trees, decorative lighting and wider sidewalks with curbs and gutters. Construction is scheduled to start in early May with completion by late summer.

Other works included under this revitalization program include new water mains and repaving of the street. The repaving will take place after completion of the sidewalk works.

At various stages during construction, access to businesses may be temporarily interrupted. Winvan will coordinate any anticipated interruptions with individual businesses in advance to minimize inconvenience. Temporary no parking will be in effect in the immediate worksite throughout the construction period.
