City of New Westminster to unveil a public art inspired bus shelter

The City of New Westminster’s public art program, in partnership with the City’s engineering department, will unveil a public art inspired bus shelter on Ewen Avenue in Queensborough, across from the Queensborough Community Centre. The project, entitled Furled Trail by Studio HUIZENGA is inspired by Queensborough’s natural landscape.

This project aims to be a showcase for inclusive design that is improving the rider experience for people of all ages and abilities, connecting with the community, and increasing local exposure of public art. The bus shelter will maximize the opportunity for creativity and art in transit and beautify the surrounding area.

Please join us for the unveiling on March 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
