Entrance Bridge Repairs at Queensborough Community Centre

Due to unique soil conditions in Queensborough, the entrance bridge has experienced sinking over time. This work will improve safety and create a gentler, more accessible slope for everyone entering the facility.
What to expect:
- The pedestrian bridge will be closed during construction
- Temporary accessible routes will be in place
- Parking remains open
- Transit stops along Ewen Avenue are unaffected
How to access the building:
From the parking lot: Follow the designated temporary path
From Ewen Avenue: Use the existing pedestrian pathway
All routes are designed to be accessible for strollers and mobility aids. Staff will be available during busy times to assist visitors.
Timeline:
- Start: May 11, 2026
- Estimated completion: May 29, 2026
Note: Dates may change depending on weather or site conditions.
This work is part of a larger plan to address long-term stability in the area, with a full bridge renewal planned for 2027.
