The General Meeting will be preceded by an Open House for an HRA (Heritage Revitalization Agreement) application for the property at 313 Queen's Avenue from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The home owners will have their plans on display and will be there to answer any questions the neighbours may have.
The General Meeting will start at 1:30 and will include a discussion regarding the HRA and two presentations. The first presentation will be an OCP (Official Community Plan) overview by Lynn Roxburgh, a New Westminster City planner from 1:45 until 2:45 pm. Then, from 2:45 to 3:45 pm, there will be a panel update and discussion presented by members of the Queen's Park Neighbourhood Heritage Study Group. The QPNHSG began in early 2014 with the purpose of examining different approaches for retaining and enhancing the character of the Queen's Park neighbourhood. This hard working group is now in the process of concluding its findings and presenting them to council within the next few months.
Both presentations will include a question and answer period. Topis to be covered will be infill housing, density, demolitions, design regulations, development permits and a conservation area.
Come and share your views and hopefully get your questions and concerns addressed.
