Plant a Row, Grow a Row - New Westminster
March 10, 2016
6:00 pm
St. Thomas More Collegiate

This year when you plant your vegetable garden, why not plant an extra row to donate to Plant a Row-Grow a Row? We'll take the produce to the Food Bank so that families in need in our community can put healthy fresh food on their tables.

Well-known local experts will give you valuable tips on growing fruit and vegetables. There will be coffee, tea, and goodies, as well as door prizes. West Coast Seeds, Minter Country Garden, Lee Valley, Plant a Row Grow a Row and GardenWorks will be providing give-aways.

Brian Minter, national spokesperson for Plant a Row-Grow a Row, and always an inspiring speaker, will start the evening. Joining him will be Conway Lum (GardenWorks Mandeville), Pasquale Porico (Mason Bee expert), June Hewko (Lee Valley Tools), and Egan Davis (UBC Botanical Gardens). The evening will be hosted by Claude LeDoux, the coordinator of the local programme, and by members of the St. Thomas More community.

Admission is free, but we would appreciate the donation of non-perishable food for the Food Bank.
