Open Data Hacking!

Did you know the City has more than 80 datasets available for you on its open data website? Grab a few friends and form a team of up to four people and hack in Council Chambers Saturday from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.

At 2:00 pm, we’ll have a presentation of completed projects, judging, and awarding of prizes for most ingenious use of the open data. Tech credits from Amazon Web Services can be available upon request. Registration required ($25 for a team of up to four) as space is limited. Register here.

Projects will be assessed by a panel comprised of Mayor Jonathan Coté, New Westminster School Board Chair Kelly Slade-Kerr, Joe Flasher (Amazon Canada) and Jeff Tisdale (Landcor Data Corporation) on execution, impact, and usage of tech and data.
