Hack Our City is back for another hack-a-thon, this time focusing on apps and projects that touch on transportation and taking place at the New Westminster campus of Douglas College.
We know transportation is one of the top issues facing the entire region. New thinking and a creative approach may provide some possible new ideas. Working within the themes of Planning, Congestion, and Safety & Accessibility, teams of 1-4 people will try to build a functioning app in only two short days, using open datasets from the City of New Westminster, TransLink, Modo and other partners.
Hackers will also be given the opportunity to learn from experts in the field to help make their projects stronger and more viable.
Presentations will begin at 3pm on Sunday February 25th with awards presented after. The public is encouraged to attend and watch the presentations!
Location: Douglas College “Fishbowl” in the Atrium
Presentations and Awards in Lecture Theatre N2201.
