Fraser River Discovery Centre, presents a “Walk and Talk” about Fraser River fish and invertebrates at Surrey Bend Regional Park
April 29, 2018
1:00 pm
3:00 pm
788 Quayside Drive New Westminster, BC V3M 6Z6, Canada

Few people know just how many different kinds of fish and invertebrates live year-round in the Lower Fraser River, so this is a chance to see, learn about, and maybe even touch, some of them. Dr. Richardson will lead us through what should be a fun and fascinating learning experience at Surrey Bend Regional Park.

Dr. Richardson is a professor at the University of British Columbia, where he studies how the foodwebs of streams and riparian (streamside) areas function and how they are connected across the water-land boundary.

Each of the sessions in the series will feature local biodiversity experts leading walking tours that provide a hands-on opportunity to learn about the biodiversity of the mighty River.
