Rihla – From Roots to Dreams

The word Rihla means ‘journey’ in Arabic. Through dance, music, drama and multimedia, Rihla will take the audience on a journey from Mawlana Sultan Mohamed Shah’s Diamond Jubilee, through to Mawlana Hazar Iman’s recent Diamond Jubilee. Rihla tells the story behind our Jamat’s “Canadian Mosaic”. It showcases the rich diversity and unique stories of migration, struggle, growth and flourish of our Canadian Jamat. The performances will be woven together by an overarching narrative embodying the spirit of brotherhood, generosity and unity woven together by a narrative embodying the spirit of brotherhood, generosity and unity within woven together by a narrative embodying the spirit of brotherhood, generosity and unity (repeated) the Canadian Jamat.

Runtime is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
