Join the New West Greens to hear Pete Poovanna, an expert in clean energy, present "Putting Waste-Heat to Work: The Future Of Air Conditioning in Zero Emission Vehicles, and Electric Vehicles as Part of BC’s Climate Change Solution."

Pete Poovanna is a Canadian Queen Elizabeth Scholar recognized by the 28th Governor General of Canada. Currently, he is the clean transportation analyst and administers the BC Fleet Electrification program. Pete is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post and Policy Options. He has several scientific publications related to clean technology. Before moving to Canada, Pete worked with the automotive company Robert Bosch, Germany as a senior mechanical engineer. Pete holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in mechatronic systems engineering from the Simon Fraser University and a master of science degree from Coventry University, U.K. and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India. He is an inventor of a patent-pending technology 'nature inspired air-conditioner for zero-emission vehicles.'
