On Saturday, June 26 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm we will be conducting our last full invasive species removal work party of Glenbrook Ravine before the summer break. We will reconvene in September to do one last site prep before we plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs in October. Things will be similar to last year, with appropriate physical distancing, wearing masks, limiting the number of volunteers. We are confident we can continue this work safely and responsibly as we did in 2020. We would like to know a little more in advance whether you plan to come, even if it is just for a short amount of time.
Please ensure you come equipped with appropriate footwear (something with ankle support and closed toes) and sunscreen / hat / long sleeve shirt. Some items that were provided in previous years will not be provided this year.
Please ensure you bring:
• Your own water bottle filled with your water
• Your own work gloves (if you have them)
• Your own tools if you're able (we will have ways of sanitizing tools on site)
• Your own snacks City staff will be on site to ensure physical distancing is adhered to throughout the day.
A liability waiver will be required for everyone to sign available on site day of and will be valid throughout 2021. Anyone under the age of 18 will need permission from a parent/guardian (second page of waiver).
A COVID screening questionnaire will need to be answered by each volunteer when they arrive at each event they attend. We will be working rain or shine!
