Activities:
Join Indigenous artist James Groening for an activity exploring Woodland Art. Woodland Art is a distinct style blending traditional legends and myths with contemporary mediums. It explores the relationships between people, animals and plants and is rich with spiritual imagery and symbolism. Families are invited to participate by learning about this Indigenous art style as they make colour-symbolized beaded bracelets.

Free shop local canvas tote bags available to the first 100 attendees.

Born in Ottawa, raised in Alberta, Vancouver based singer-songwriter recording artist, Norine Braun released her 13th album, the groove oriented Songs For Trees in 2022. Thanks to a Canada Council For the Arts Award and a First Peoples’ Cultural Council Award, Norine set her musings during the ongoing pandemic to focus on climate change and the healing power of trees. Norine has created a transformational musical walk through a west coast forest to help enlighten and inspire. Described as bluesy roots rock, groove oriented eclectic, emotional and heartfelt originals. "Songs For Trees is unlike any other album I've ever heard. It's beautiful and genius.” Taylor Williams SubbaCultcha. The Vancouver Sun named it as one of 5 albums you need to hear. Norine is of Metis and Ukrainian heritage and will be joined by partner Alice Fraser ARCT on keys and harmony vocals.
