A spring concert with the Amabilis Singers. Saturday, April 29th, 2023 7:30 pm Abendfriede, or Evening Peace, by Josef Rheinberger sets the tone for this evening of song. In this concert, the Amabilis Singers bring you varied and delightful repertoire that ranges over time and through genres, from works by Victoria and Brahms, through to modern classics by Lauridsen, Childs, Aguila and Tate. Hear how Stroope's Amor de mi Alma and Barnum's Afternoon on a Hill lend beautiful musical context to exquisite poetry, and how Lapatha & Dyck's arrangement colours the traditional Irish melody of Bonny Portmore.
