Put on your glad rags for a night of live hot jazz in the heart of New Westminster and celebrate Black History Month with a beginner Lindy Hop lesson! Originating in Harlem, NY during the big band era, the lesson is a fun and educational way to learn about the history of the dance. Whether you feel like swinging out, joining the jazz jam, or just tapping your toes and enjoying the show, we welcome you to attend a fun and inclusive evening.
This event is a jazz jam! Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and sit in with the band for a song or two. (Please check in with organizers upon arrival to be added to the list; musicians get in for free!)
