The Centennial Totem Pole by Kwakwaka’wakw artists, Lloyd Wadhams Sr. and Bob Whonnock was commissioned in 1967 by the Columbian Newspaper with the help of residents and community sponsors. In 2023, the pole received some much needed repairs. Join us in recognizing the extensive labour by Lloyd Wadhams Jr. to restore his late father’s work and witness the blessing of this renewed totem pole. The event will start at 11am and take place outdoors, next to the totem pole.
