Experience an extraordinary evening of music with legendary South Indian percussion maestro Trichy Sankaran, one of the world’s greatest mridangam players, live in concert. At 82 years old, Sankaran continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his unparalleled rhythmic mastery, creativity, and vitality.

 

Joining him are virtuosic musicians: Carnatic flautist Raman Kalyan, vocalist Vidyasagar Vankayala, percussionist Curtis Andrews (a long-time student of Sankaran), guitarist Jared Burrows, and bassist Dave Soutar-Spidel.

 

Together, they will present a mesmerizing blend of traditional South Indian (Carnatic) music and contemporary jazz, featuring original compositions by Trichy Sankaran and Curtis Andrews, as well as stunning arrangements of Carnatic classics.
