Mayor's Budget Focus Group

Chair: Mayor

Staff/Council: Council members, Director of Finance, Manager of Financial Services and others as required.

Meetings (annually, monthly): annually, usually in October or November

Mandate: The purpose of the Mayor’s Budget Focus Group is to bring together members of the community, preferably with a background in finance / budgeting, to review and comment on specific topics related to the City's annual budget process, such as the city’s budget principles and the city’s public consultation process on its Five-Year Financial Plan. Feedback from the Focus Group provides insight from the community's perspective on budget topics of particular interest to Council.
