Home Energy Planner Tool
The BC Home Energy Planner is a free online tool that helps you understand and improve the energy efficiency of your home. The City of New Westminster participated in the pilot phase of the Planner from September 2024 to April 2025, with 50 residents trying out the tool. The tool is now available to all BC residents after a successful pilot phase. To make your home more comfortable and decrease your energy use, try the tool now.
The BC Home Energy Planner is a free interactive tool that enables BC residents (including New Westminster residents) to understand their home’s energy efficiency, carbon emissions, and potential for improvement and cost savings.
By completing a quick online survey, you will gain valuable insights into your home and how it can be improved, as well as available rebates to offset the cost of the upgrade.
The Planner supports many of the actions in the City’s Community Energy and Emission Plan (CEEP 2050) as well as the Carbon Free Homes and Buildings goal under the City’s Seven Bold Steps for Climate Action. The City announced its participation in the pilot on September 16, 2024.
