New West City 101

The City of New Westminster and CityHive are excited to launch New West City 101, a new civic education-to-action program for high school-aged youth, running from April to May 2019.

During this 8-week after school program, you’ll learn about how your city is run and decisions are made, and learn all about topics including parks, housing, land use, the local economy, transportation and sustainability planning, and more. Sessions will be led by New Westminster city staff, council members and community partners, who will bring topical city initiatives and challenges to the table for input. After these interactive, informative sessions, all participants will have the opportunity to co-design projects and present them back to city council, staff, and your community.

The program runs for 8 weeks on Wednesdays in April and May 2019 from 3:30-5:30pm.
