Annual Pool Maintenance Shutdown
Aquatic centre and pool side amenities to be closed for maintenance September 8 – 23, 2026
To maintain the safety, quality, and reliability of our aquatic facilities, we will be completing our annual maintenance shutdown this September.
 
Closed September 8 -23, 2026: Aquatic centre and pool side amenities
 
Open: All other areas of the facility, including the Fitness Centre and change rooms.
 
Active 365 Pass holders who only use the aquatic facility and wish to temporarily freeze/pause their membership during the pool closure may do so by emailing activepasssupport@newwestcity.ca between July 7 – September 7, 2026. Requests submitted after 11:59 pm on September 7 will not be processed. Frozen memberships will be automatically reactivated when the pool reopens on September 24, 2026. Please note:
 
  • If you freeze/pause your ActivePass, all ActivePass benefits will be suspended during the freeze period, including access to the Fitness Centre, fitness classes, drop-in sports, public skating, and other included services. You may still participate by paying the applicable regular admission or registration fees via online, by phone, or in-person.
  • Pass freezing/pausing is only available to Active 365 Pass holders during City-initiated facility closures lasting longer than two weeks.
  • ActivePasses that are frozen/paused for the pool shutdown will automatically resume on September 24, 2026. No action is required to reactivate your pass.
  • Other pass types, including the ActivePass 30 Day, are not eligible for extensions or freezes during this closure. However, you may withdraw from and repurchase these passes at any time. Withdrawals take effect on the date the request is received and cannot be backdated.
