The project involves complete road improvements for approximately 180 meters of Phillips Street

Project Update

The project is now complete; however, crews will continue to work on landscaping, property restoration, and repaving.

Thank you for your continued patience throughout the project.

Project Details

The project involves complete road improvements for approximately 180 linear meters of Phillips Street from Canil Avenue to Ewen Avenue. The work includes the installation of storm sewers, road structure, sidewalks, barrier curbs, landscaping and street lighting.

The City’s contractor is scheduled to commence construction starting June 1, 2020 and is anticipated to be completed within a few months, weather dependent.  There will be some minor interruptions with respect to the construction.  The contractor will require staging areas along the street for construction and will be defined by fencing and signage.  We respectfully ask that residents and visitors not park in these areas.  Access to parking will be impacted due to the nature of the work.  We will endeavor to minimize disruption as much as possible. However, as with a project of this nature, some disruption is inevitable.

June 1, 2020 - July 2021

Hours of Work
Monday-Friday, 7am - 7pm

Road Closures
Traffic will be maintained. Temporary road closures and traffic delays. Alternate access points will be provided and advance notice will be given.

Temporary property access restrictions, as well as parking will be impacted. Please obey “no parking” signs as they will be moved daily. Temporary sidewalk restrictions.
