Agnes Street Greenway

Construction on the interim Agnes Greenway is now complete.

Update

Greenway Users
The interim greenway is now open for use. Wayfinding signage will be installed shortly but users may ride on the greenway. Please note that the interim greenway ends at Douglas College. Please stay tuned for updates as we continue to develop an interim greenway connection to Carnarvon Street.

Transit Changes
Transit routes have been adjusted. Route #103 (Victoria Hill) now operates eastbound from Fourth St. along Carnarvon Street and Elliot Street, then returns to its regular route along Agnes Street. A new bus stop has been installed on Carnarvon Street at Merivale Street to serve this route. Route #105 (to Canada Games Pool and Uptown) now operates up Fourth Street to Royal Avenue, then returns to its regular route along Second Street. A new bus stop has been installed on Fourth Street at Agnes Street to serve this route. Going toward downtown and SkyTrain, both routes still operate along Agnes Street.

See transit re-routing map with updated bus stops.

Please note that City staff continue to work with TransLink and Coast Mountain Bus Company as we consider further changes to transit routes to address concerns being shared with us. We will share further information if changes to transit will be made.

Driving & Parking
A portion of Agnes Street (Merivale Street to Sixth Street) is now one-way westbound for motor vehicle traffic and access to Merivale Street from Royal Avenue is now closed. Changes to on-street parking are in place.
