Watermain Tie-In Work

Final watermain tie-in work will take place at Sherbrooke Street and Richmond Street on Friday, Dec 2nd.  Water service to residents will be disconnected for approximately 6 hours between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Notices have been delivered to impacted residents.

Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturdays: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Impacts/Interruptions
Residents surrounding the construction area may experience some minor inconveniences, such as noise, dust, vibration, and construction vehicle traffic. Temporary intermittent delays may be experienced. Parking restrictions and sidewalk closures will be in effect. Garbage and recycling pick up will not be impacted. 

Project Details

The project will include sewer separation work and replacing water mains that are at the end of their service life and due for replacement. The water main and sanitary sewer replacement program is intended to renew our aging infrastructure and to improve quality and capacity where required.

Part 1
Richmond Street between Simpson Street and Hospital Street

Part 2
Richmond Street between Hospital Street to E. Eighth Avenue

Preparation work will begin on June 27 and will involve single lane alternating traffic around the work zone. This will last approximately one week.
