təməsew̓txʷ Aquatics and Community Centre Utility Work

E. 6th Avenue between Cumberland and McBride will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic on April 20, 21, 24, and 25 between 7 am and 3 pm.

As part of the construction for the təməsew̓txʷ Aquatics and Community Centre, the City of
New Westminster will be conducting investigative work to locate underground utility services.

East Sixth Avenue between Cumberland Street and McBride Boulevard will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic on April 20, 21, 24, and 25 between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm. A portion of Glenbrook Drive between East Sixth Avenue and Eddie Drive will also be closed to traffic and parking during those periods. All roads will reopen for normal use at the end of each workday. All cars parked in the closure areas must be moved by 7:00 am.

For a portion of this work, the greenway will be closed and cyclists will be required to share the road with vehicle traffic. Some sidewalk closures will also be required and pedestrians will be directed to use the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street. Traffic control personnel will be on site to assist the public in navigating the work site.
