Metro Vancouver - Quayside Drive Manhole Work
March 9th for approximately 5 weeks
Project Information
Metro Vancouver will be carrying out sewer improvements in the area starting the week of March 9, 2026 for approximately one month. Crews will work in sections along Quayside Drive between Laguna Court and the McInnes Street overpass to excavate and raise maintenance holes This will be followed by paving and restoration work done by the City of New Westminster.
Traffic Impacts
- Traffic: Temporary traffic pattern changes including impacts to vehicles and cyclists. Lane closures will be implemented in areas where crews will need to access maintenance holes. Two-way traffic will be maintained with traffic control personnel on site to direct traffic.
- Parking: 24/7 street parking restrictions in areas near work zones
- Noise from vehicles, crews, and equipment in the area, and the use of heavy machinery
- Odour: Intermittent odour during opening of maintenance holes
- All work will comply with City of New Westminster’s noise bylaws or granted variances.
Location & Hours
Location: In the roadway along Quayside Drive between Laguna Court and the McInnes Street overpass
Date: Starting week of March 9, 2026, for approximately one month or until work is complete.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
