Sewermain Rehabilitation Program

As part of the Sewer Rehabilitation Program, nighttime works is scheduled on several streets. By conducting this work at night, we aim to minimize construction impact on the community during peak hours while prioritizing public health and safety.

Night Work Details:

• Contractor: Insituform Technologies
• Date (tentative): May 23, 2026 - May 25, 2026
• Work hours: 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Scope: Sewer main rehabilitation

  • Begbie Street (between Columbia Street and Front Street)
  • Sixth Street (between Clarkson Street and Columbia Street)

A temporary partial road closure will be in effect.  During this period, expect the use of machinery, backup alarms, generators, pumps, lighting, and vacuum trucks. A comprehensive Traffic Management Plan has been developed to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists. To mitigate potential disruptions, advance notifications will be sent to neighbouring properties and businesses. A dedicated contact phone number will also be provided, allowing residents to report any issues or concerns that may arise during the night work. Our team is committed to minimizing noise levels and ensuring that all work is carried out with the least possible disturbance to the community.
