Crafts from Around the World (5 - 8 years)
Take a flight around the world and visit five different countries to learn about their celebrations and culture. Each day you will create a variety of fun crafts and learn to say some words in the country’s native language to understand the new places you’ve visited.

Adventures in History Camp (5 - 8 years)
Explore New Westminster’s history with this fun and exciting day camp! Incorporating a variety of crafts and activities, we will learn how people long ago moved through New Westminster by water, air, and on land. We will also discover the world of animation and printmaking before the digital age. There’s something for everyone in this hands-on program!

Introduction to Traditional Textile Arts (9 - 11 years)
Textile arts have been an important part of human life since civilization began. Learn the traditional skills of weaving, knitting, sewing, and macramé to create hand-made projects such as stuffed toys, bracelets, and more. Each week we will look at textile arts from the Museum’s collections. All supplies included.

Traditional Hand Sewing Made Easy (12 - 14 years)
Before the 1800s, women spent many hours sewing clothes for themselves and their families by hand. Learn how to sew basic stitches and create hand-made projects like lace arm warmers, an embroidered bracelet and a fascinator. Each week we will look at hand-sewn artefacts from the Museum’s collections. All supplies included.
