Staff Heroes Award
The City of New Westminster would like to recognize staff members who have gone above and beyond in supporting the City's response during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While all staff have been working extra hard over the past few month, there are individuals and teams who have stepped up in extraordinary ways. the Staff Heroes Award would like to recognize the following individuals for their exceptional accomplishments.

Extra Mile Award
Tobi May has been recognized by co-workers with a Staff Hero Award for providing proactive leadership and demonstrating flexibility and resiliency while taking on a wide range of extra responsibilities, such as leading planning for physical barriers in all facilities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Street Use & Parking Enforcement Team was honoured with a Staff Hero Award for their role in proactively patrolling parks to promote public safety during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Electrical Relief Program Set-Up Team was honoured with a Staff Hero Award for their collaboration in developing and setting up the City’s electric utility relief program for residents and businesses as part of the City’s pandemic response.
The Legislative Services Council Meeting Team has been recognized with a Staff Heroes Teamwork Award for working together to set up and successfully deliver completely-virtual Council meetings so that the City could move quickly to respond to the pandemic.
