NWFRS Youth Firefighter Program

Ready to pursue your dream of becoming a firefighter? The New Westminster Youth Firefighter Program (YFFP) is the perfect opportunity for students in grades 10, 11 and 12 interested in a firefighting career. It typically runs the first week following the end of school (i.e. early July). The program is a hands-on, immersive experience in firefighting that includes basic fire ground skills, first aid training, auto extrication, fire prevention, and other activities that firefighters regularly experience.
