When does a Tree Removal Permit get issued?
A Tree Removal Permit may be issued if one of the following conditions exists:
- The protected tree is a hazardous tree
- The protected tree is located within the buildable site footprint that would be permitted under applicable zoning and related bylaws, and the design of the structure could not be modified to enable the protected tree to be retained
- The roots of the protected tree are interfering with, or presenting a hazard to, underground or overhead services and utilities where removal of the tree is the only means to address the issue.
