  • Winter Wonderland at Westminster Pier Park

    December 1,2021 - February 1, 2022
    Westminster Pier Park

A winter wonderland while highlighting the unique design of Westminster Pier Park.

The display brings light to the “Pile Forest” which is made up of old telephone poles that mimic what it would look like under the docks, along with the grand structure named “Lytton Square” which was built to represent New Westminster’s first City sponsored public market that started in 1892. The historic Market Day at Lytton Square brought people together to meet and barter local goods and crafts. The evolution of commerce through barter and trade can be honoured by visiting the park and reflecting on history, and by supporting local downtown businesses who need your support now more than ever.

This display in brought to you in partnership with the Downtown New Westminster BIA.
