WHAT IS ZONING AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 8188, 2020 ABOUT?
An application has been received for the property at 909 First Street to rezone from Duplex Districts (RT-1) to Infill Townhouse and Rowhouse Residential Districts (RT) in order to build a four unit, ground-oriented, townhouse development which will meet regulation requirements. The Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 8188, 2020 would also include a text amendment to the RT zone which would change the locked-in-lot provisions outlined in Section 120.123 of the Zoning Bylaw. A locked-in lot refers to an underdeveloped site where there may be limitations for redevelopment due to the limited size of the site. This change would ensure that properties intended to allow infill development will no longer incorrectly be restricted by locked-in-lot requirements.
