‘Miscellaneous’ Amendment Bylaw

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This Zoning Amendment Bylaw would include identified miscellaneous revisions, edits and deletions to reflect minor required annual updates to the Zoning Bylaw.

WHAT IS ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT NO. 8172, 2020 ABOUT?
To improve the clarity and consistency, the Zoning Bylaw is updated on a regular basis with a series of miscellaneous amendments. This amending bylaw would include: updates to ensure consistency with the Sign Bylaw and Tree Protection Bylaw; updates to references to Provincial and Federal Legislation; removal of extraneous historic land uses categories which are captured elsewhere; clarification of fences and parking access regulations; clarification of upper floor size limitations in the NR-1 district; updates to the requirements for retail liquor store ownership to be consistent with Provincial regulation changes; clarification of several definitions; and correction of numbering, numerical conversion and grammatical inconsistencies.
