Situated in beautiful Moody Park, Century House was established in 1958 to celebrate British Columbia's Centennial Anniversary and become one of Canada's first seniors' centres. Century House continues to be a leading-edge seniors centre with its holistic service delivery.

The Active Living Guide and The Clarion outline the diverse services we provide to adults 50+ with independence and life enriching opportunities in fitness, wellness, education, language skills, arts, music, games and counselling.

In addition, Century House offers a variety of social and activity clubs, a lunch program and a lounge to connect older adults into a strong and supportive social network.

    Benefits of Century House Membership

    Century House is a membership based centre for adults 50+ years. The annual membership fee is just $25.00 and offers a wide-range of services, opportunities, activities, friendships, education and support.

    Meet new friends, join a social or activity club, volunteer, learn new skills, benefit from counselling or just go to our welcoming and inclusive centre to hang out, have tea or watch TV.

    Many of our services are free, however, fees may be charged for program supplies, registration-based programs, special events, food and fitness services.

    Family Services of Greater Vancouver

    VITAL CONNECTIONS SUBSIDIZED COUNSELLING

    Are you going through a difficult time? We can help! 

    Family Services of Greater Vancouver, in partnership with Century House, provides free confidential counselling for all people 50+ in the New Westminster area. We support seniors struggling with: 

    • Life transitions and finding new meaning 
    • Bereavement and loss 
    • Loneliness
    • Depression and anxiety 
    • Declining health 
    • Family/relationship difficulties 

    Vital Connections offers accessible counselling services to seniors and their family members with a counsellor in place for the program on Thursdays.

    New referrals are welcome to leave their name and contact number for Jaynie Miller on the Vital Connections voicemail (604.519.1064 ext. 2).

  • Peer Support

    Trained senior volunteers provide one-on-one support.

    Peer Support is a helping service designed to support and enhance the social and mental well-being of individuals who are facing life transitions and challenges.

    Peer Support services address the needs of aging adults and seniors by providing confidential, no-cost, one-to-one support with the help of trained Peer Support volunteers.
