təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre

The təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre will replace the aging Canada Games Pool and Centennial Centre into a combined 10,644 square meter (114,571 square feet) state-of-the-art facility. The new facility will include an eight-lane 50 m pool; a leisure pool with a lazy river, hot pools, and tot zone; fitness centre; two gymnasiums; multi-purpose rooms; and community gathering spaces. The multi-year project represents a $106.6M investment in the long-term health and well-being of the New Westminster community. The new facility is scheduled to open in 2024.

təməsew̓txʷ is the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ word for “sea otter house.”
