All community and recreation centres are closed to the public until further notice. All organized and permitted events in parks and sport fields that have potential to exceed 50 people have been cancelled, including closure of field houses and change rooms.

Parks remain open. Park washroom facilities remain open and cleaned with increased frequency.

The Port Royal Park (Google Maps) offers visitors a variety of popular amenities including trees and open green space, a picnic shelter, washrooms, a plaza with trellises, a playground, park benches, picnic tables, public art features, a dock, a fountain, a bike rack and waste receptacle bins.

Port Royal Riverfront Trail

A key feature of the Port Royal Park is its connection to the Fraser River. The spectacular Port Royal Riverfront Walk provides accessible trails, views, interpretive signs, native plantings, a sand beach and a lookout onto Poplar Island.

Other park features include the Port Royal Community Garden and plaza.

The Port Royal Park, established in 1997 and expanded in 2010, is 6.05 acres.
