The City of New Westminster now provides a online permit and submission platform, providing CAMINO to you or your representative in a voluntary capacity. Please note that any personal information that is disclosed to CAMINO is stored on servers based in the United States of America, and such is subject to US law. Should you wish to apply or a permit using an alternative method, please refer to below.

We are excited to announce the transition from Camino to our new and improved platform, E-Apply, for all Building, Plumbing, and Tree Permit applications. Please take note of the following important information:

- Account Access Transition: All Camino users have 45 days to access their accounts and retrieve any necessary data or documents. The account access period ends on December 25, 2023. Log in to Camino and export your information before this date.

- Secure Data Deletion: To maintain data privacy and security, all data stored on the Camino platform will be securely and permanently deleted from servers after December 25, 2023.

BACKFLOW PREVENTION

Backflow prevention assemblies have internal seals, springs and moving parts that can wear out. Backflow prevention assemblies must be tested after installation, and tested annually by a certified tester, in accordance with CSA B64.10

Effective May 1, 2022: Backflow assembly test reports for existing or replacement backflow testing will be managed by Backflow Solutions, Inc. (BSI). A $25.00 fee will be required to file a City of New Westminster test report with BSI.
