  • The Province of British Columbia recently changed the Recycling Regulation, putting a greater amount of responsibility for recycling printed paper and packaging materials on the producers of these materials. Due to this change in regulation, glass must now be kept separate from other recyclables because of its tendency to break and contaminate other recyclables. Glass is still a recyclable product, but will not be accepted in your blue recycling cart.

Please visit the Recycle BC website for more information.
  • All refundable glass beverage containers can be returned at any Encorp Return-it Depot for deposit while all other non-refundable glass bottles and containers can be recycled at the City’s Recycling Depot.

The City’s Recycling Depot, located at 65 East Sixth Ave next to the Canada Games Pool is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and accepts all glass packaging.
