GLENBROOK RAVINE CSO GATE REPLACEMENT AND KWANTLEN COURT STAIRCASE UPGRADE

This project was completed Dec. 19, 2024.

December 19 update: The Kwantlen Court Staircase is re-open.

PROJECT DETAILS

The first phase of work is now complete, and the main trail access will be reopened to the public October 14th. Restoration efforts, including tree planting and habitat rehabilitation, are currently underway to restore the natural beauty of the ravine. Replanted and seeded areas will be ribboned off to allow the habitat to thrive undisturbed. This reclamation work will begin on September 30th and will continue for two weeks, with the trail expected to fully reopen on October 14th.

The second phase of the project will commence in late 2024/early 2025 to complete the diversion into the new infrastructure. This low-impact work will not require any trail closures and is expected to take 3-4 weeks from start to final completion.

Progress continues on the Kwantlen Court staircase, with wooden bases constructed, piles installed, and foundations scheduled to be poured during the week of September 30th. The staircase is anticipated to open to the public by late 2024.

We appreciate the community's patience and cooperation throughout the project.
