Sports Leagues


Recreational sports leagues for teams of all levels and abilities. 

Playing on a team is a great way to stay active, meet new people, have fun, and improve your skills. Leagues are for anyone aged 19+ unless otherwise noted. 

Good to know

  • See intake periods and download applications for your chosen sport below. Applications will be available at 10:00 am on the first day of the intake period. Teams will be contacted after applying. 
  • Registration priority goes to New Westminster teams (at least 60% of team members residing in New Westminster), followed by date of completed application submission.
  • No refunds are issued for league fees unless the space is booked by another team. Fees are not eligible for subsidy.
  • Our leagues follow the City’s Code of Conduct to ensure a respectful, safe, and enjoyable environment for everyone.

  • Ball Hockey League

    For age 17+ years, offered in fall/winter

    2024 Fall - 2025 Winter Season 
    This is a fast-paced, recreational league, complete with CBHA certified referees. Dates include select long-weekend breaks.
    League Overview:

    • Approximately 20-game schedule
    • Five-on-five play
    • Playoffs best-of-three games (finals at minimum)
    • Regular season two x 20 min periods
    • A, B and C divisions with 24 teams
    • CBHA sanctioned league with BCBHA custom software with website and player insurance

  • Pickleball Doubles League

    For age 19+ years, offered in fall and winter

    2025 Winter Season 
    League Overview:
    Designed for enthusiasts, offering a fun and recreational environment to enjoy the game. League has space for 12 teams. Weekly standings provided with prizes for the top two teams at playoffs.
    All rules as stated in the International Federation of Pickleball Rulebook with some amendments.

  • Slo-Pitch League

    For age 19+ years, offered in spring/summer
    2025 Spring-Summer Season

    League Overview:
    Gather a group of friends or colleagues and enter a team in this recreational co-ed league. Divisions each play 10 games plus one weekend of playoffs. Games are scheduled Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday evenings at Upper Hume Park Diamonds #1 and #2.

    Alcohol in Parks:
    Consumption of alcohol is not permitted in most sport field areas. Please review designated areas and drink responsibly.

  • Volleyball League

    For age 19+ years, offered in fall and winter
    2025 Winter Volleyball Season
    League Overview:
    This recreational co-ed league is complete with referees, standings, prizes and 14 weeks of recreational play time including playoffs. With space for 8 teams in each division, limited openings are available.  Once registration is full a schedule is sent confirming playing times for the entire season. Team stats and rankings are recorded to help create a playoff schedule for the last game and emailed weekly.
