Available at Queen’s Park East Artificial Turf Field
One secure storage bay is available for rent to qualifying community groups. The 8’ x 10’ bays are equipped with lighting, insulation, and ventilation.
Interested applicants must meet the following criteria in order of priority:
- New Westminster Community Sports Group
- Other community group (priority in order): Youth or Senior Activity Groups, Non-Profits, School District #40, returning users, new emerging user groups, commercial groups.
- Users who frequently book the Queen’s Park fields:
- Queen’s Park East Field
- Queen’s Park Stadium
- Queen’s Park South Field
Successful applicants will receive a contract for the storage space with the following fee options:
- one-time $10,000 fee for a 5-year commitment
- monthly $250 fee
After the initial term expires, the top three field user groups at Queen’s Park East Field will have priority over other non-primary users to rent the storage facility as per the Parks and Recreation Allocation Policy and Fees and Charges Bylaw in place at that time.
The Parks bench dedication Program offers families and community groups the opportunity to celebrate life's events, such as outstanding achievements, birthdays, anniversaries, births or the life of a loved one.

Premium Deluxe Bench
This wood and metal bench features a more ornate design than the standard bench and is $3,465.00, which includes the bench, plaque, installation and maintenance.
Park Lounger Bench - SOLD OUT
This contemporary reclining one-section part seat is made from IPE tropical hardwood that is a warm pewter grey colour, supported by a grey powder coated metal frame. It is available only in the Westminster Pier Park and is $6,400.00, which includes the bench, plaque, installation and maintenance.
Plaques
Cast bronze plaques, measuring 12" - 16" long by 2" tall, can be placed on each seat back. The plaques accommodate a maximum of 48 characters per line and four lines of text. Once the wording is confirmed, it is sent to our bronzing company, who will send a proof for your review prior to casting.
Plaques are centered horizontally on the top wood backing, except for the Park Lounger, where the plaque is vertically positioned on one side.

Non-profit sports organizations based in New Westminster can request to display sponsorship banners at select sports field locations. This program offers a year-round opportunity to raise funds through high-visibility banner advertising.
Participating organizations will assume all expenses and responsibilities related to the advertisement, graphic artwork, sign fabrication, administration and installation of the sign.Locations
Banners are permitted at the following four locations in New Westminster:
- Queen’s Park East Field (south side, parallel to McBride Boulevard)
- Mercer Stadium Field (inside end zone)
- Moody Park #1 Diamond (outfield fence between foul lines)
- Justin Morneau Field (outfield fence between foul lines)
Sports Field Cycles
Banners are permitted during the following periods with a $25.00 fee per cycle:
- Winter: January 1 to March 31
- Spring: April 1 to June 30
- Summer: July 1 to September 30
- Fall: October 1 to December 31
Banner Guidelines & RestrictionsSize: Maximum of 32 square feet (8’ width x 4’ height).
Materials: Banners must be professionally produced to withstand weather and vandalism. They must include perforations for airflow and grommet holes spaced 12 inches apart on all sides for secure attachment to fencing.
Installation and Maintenance: Organizations are responsible for installing and removing banners at the end of each cycle, covering all associated costs. Damaged or vandalized banners must be repaired, cleaned, or removed by the organization immediately.
Placement Limits: The City determines the number of banners allowed per location to ensure clear sightlines and manage wind loads.
Eligibility: Banners may only display sponsors of New Westminster-based non-profit sports organizations. Previously approved banners are grandfathered into this policy. All new banners must adhere to the current standards.
Compliance: Advertisements must comply with the Parks and Recreation Department Code of Conduct.
Payments: All payments must be received in full and approved by the City before banner installation.

Program Guidelines and Conditions of Use below are governed by City bylaws, policies, and Provincial regulations, which may supersede or influence the Facility Allocation Policy.

Program Guidelines
Lockbox Approval and Usage
- Lockbox specifications and dimensions must be provided in order to receive approval by the Parks and Recreation Department prior to placement.
- The site chosen must be the most frequently used location by the sport user and have available space.
- Lockboxes will be permitted for onsite storage for the duration of the sport user’s seasonal booking.
- No more than two lockboxes will be permitted at any location unless approved by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Placement and Security
- Sport groups are responsible for the placement and removal of their lockbox 15 days before their first booking and 15 days after their last booking.
- Vehicles are not permitted in the park for the placement or removal of a lockbox. Lockboxes may only be hand delivered to the assigned location.
Lockboxes must be secured at their approved location. The City will not be liable or responsible for any loss, theft or damage to the lockbox.
Maintenance and Condition
- Lockboxes must be immediately cleaned or removed by the user group if they become damaged or vandalized.
Conditions of Use
Modifications and Markings
- Do not construct or place any improvements, or permit the same, to the designated lockbox space without the written consent of the City.
- Painting or taping on any surface is strictly prohibited.
Advertising and Sales
- Advertising, Sales of Goods or Services is not permitted without prior authorization.
Vehicles and Access
- Vehicles are only permitted within designated vehicle areas (i.e., roads, parking lot, etc.).
- Licensee must not block or consume the common areas.
Assignment and Subletting
- The Licensee may not assign or otherwise transfer their lockbox space in whole or in part, nor sublicense all or any part of the lockbox space, without prior written consent of the City.
Noise and Conduct
- Licensee must be respectful to the neighbourhood, with noise never exceeding the Noise Bylaw.
Other Restrictions
- Food or non-water beverages may not be stored in lockboxes.
Lockboxes that do not meet the above guidelines and conditions, do not have prior approval of the Parks and Recreation Department, or are onsite outside of their approved period, will be removed and disposed of without notice and a $100 removal fee applied.The City of New Westminster is committed to enhancing healthy child development, as well as protecting children in public spaces such as pools, libraries, and recreation centres. Staff are trained to create safe, welcoming, empowering programs that encourage children’s development physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively.

Staff are trained to recognize high-risk behaviour and situations, and how to confidently bring forward concerns that don’t constitute abuse but are behaviours considered to be inappropriate or misconduct. Training includes a comprehensive approach to preventing child sexual abuse in child-serving programs and facilities.
