The deadline for acceptance of the Candidate Physical Assessment Testing (CPAT) or a recognized alternative has been extended to April 10, 2020. Candidates will be required to submit proof of completion via email to Human Resources at by April 10, 2020.

 

Recruitment Stages

New Westminster Fire & Rescue Services is looking for community-minded, positive, energetic and active individuals representative of the vibrant community we serve to join our department.

The recruitment process consists of nine different stages (dates subject to change based on operational needs):

Stage 1 – Application process and screening – closing date February 14, 2020

Stage 2 – Written test – March 3, 4 & 5, 2020

Stage 3 – Personality assessment inventory  - March 18, 2020

Stage 4 – First interview – March 23 – April 3, 2020

Stage 5 – Two day skills assessment – April 13 – 25, 2020

Stage 6 – Second interview – May 4 – May 8, 2020

Stage 7 – Reference checks and police information checks -  May 5 – May 14, 2020

Stage 8 – Medical/fitness evaluation – May 20 – 23, 2020

Stage 9 – Job offer
