City of New Westminster Fire and Rescue Services invites the public to come see the Stanley Cup and help raise money for charity

New Westminster – The Stanley Cup is coming to New Westminster! On Thursday, August 21, 2014, New Westminster Fire and Rescue Services, Honour House and the New Westminster Firefighters’ Charitable Society will be hosting the Stanley Cup at Glenbrook Fire Hall, courtesy of local resident and NHL veteran Bill Ranford. The cup will be available for public viewing and pictures from 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm. The Charitable Society will also be holding a BBQ to support the event.

“This is a great chance for people of all ages to see the Stanley Cup up close and take a photo with it,” said Fire Chief Tim Armstrong. “And best of all, all proceeds will go to Honour House and the New Westminster Firefighters’ Charitable Society.”

Admission is by donation. Parking will be available at Canada Games Pool with overflow parking at the JIBC parking lot.
